Testing News
It was a big week for recruiting! We welcome Nahich, Dressari, Malakitin, Renagade, and Sliff. They are all starting out with us this week and are sure to be a real addition to our team. Thanks, guys for signing on for this awesome job.

This week we reported 11 new bugs and resolved 10. That makes us +1 for the week. For the month we are +4, for the year, we are -11.

Dev News
Schmunzel is on the move again. A new job has come her way and along with that she needs a new home. So she has been scarce this week. But she stopped in several times to the QA channel and made some adjustments to things and we appreciate her dedication, especially in light of all she has on her plate at the moment.

In fact we had nice long visits in the QA irc from Rouse, Wyz, Eruptor, and Snow!

Eruptor posted an explanation of his major commit this week. Here are some of the highlights:

In the tutorial , added "PART SEVEN OF NINE (skill training.) Includes dynamically spawned skill trainers, three different types for each basic profession. You do not have to logout to be able to repeat the combat parts. Just go back to the Imperial Officer in the room before the Debris, and then you are set to go fighting again. (Sostrata’s note: If you train a skill, you cannot repeat the combat unless you make a new toon. So don’t train if you want to go back and fight the pirate again.)

PVE: Added Womp Rats and Rills. They are located at the hills behind Bestine Starport. They do attack when you get near them and follow you for a while, so be prepared to run. The creatures should be smart enough to go home if you try to kite them from outside their range.

And as usual, most combat data is only for testing of the mechanics and the behavior of the npc's.
There is some range and damage limits put into play, just to give the npc's a fair chance.

Toll...
