QA Team News
We are overjoyed at the return of Hakry and Rigphoria who have come back to help test with QA! Welcome back, old friends! We have missed you both.
Eruptor asks us to always mention the current build number in our bug reports and subsequent entries. He has been very good about updating the build numbers for us and has a plan to make this an automatic process. It will be most helpful for the devs and for us to know in exactly which build things began or ended or changed.
TC News
When I last wrote a Scoop we were at Build 1429. Two weeks later we are now on Build 1459, so that means we have had 30 new additions in the past 2 weeks! Here are some of the highlights of those 30 commits.
Snow added templates for loot groups and fixed the Maroj Melon so it now has the full five uses, instead of just one! He also added the remaining holoemotes to the db and the starter items required for the Jedi profession.
Eruptor permanently fixed the recurring issue with ‘name approval process errors.’
Tomcat discovered a whopper of a bug that Eruptor corrected. Tomcat was disconnected while fighting and his avatar was killed during the disconnect. One he returned to the game, he found he had multiple systems failing for his character including loss of equipment in inventory, ham regeneration failure, inability to interact with ticket terminals or trainers, chat failure, and sometimes he became invisible to other players! Eru tackled this tall order and got it corrected in record time. Woo Hoo!
Eruptor has been quite busy fixing bugs in recent days. Here is a sampling:
# 1320 - We can no longer attack a dueling opponent while he is incapped
# 1276 - The Invisible Attacker has been eliminated
#1433 - Dismounting a speeder that is stuck between an object and a wall will not crash the zone anymore. (How did you find that bug, Cloudstrife?)
#1411 - You can no longer do a deathblow on anything/everything! DB has been returned to its correct use.
#1289 - No more flying womp rats and rills.
#1446 – You will again get the correct cursor when entering combat.
#1267 – HAM now regenerates as it should when dueling.
Apathy is thorough and meticulous! He has been working on the build process and I am told that soon the Test Center will ‘practically build itself’ when something new has been committed!
Schmunzel is working hard on solving a problem with crafting schematics. As many of you know, a certain percentage of crafted items cannot be entered into the database because of an issue with the ‘weights’ (or percentages) of the experimental properties within an experimental attribute. We are expecting to hear that she has overcome this thorny problem any day now! Good luck, Sch!

Using Rouse’s excellent NPC Tool, ‘Yours Truly’ rotated, turned, elevated or eliminated a number of NPCs who were facing walls, or stuck in doorways, or on top of each other. /me pats herself on the back
Rouse has continued to work on his schem tool and we are now up to version 5.1. This version is truly a winner! It is more intuitive and is completely consistent from tab to tab. He has eliminated a whole bunch of clicks and made more of the work automatic. Thanks, Rouse for the great tool. We are still plugging away at schem entry. Any tester who does schem entry must have this tool! Hakry and Linkman be sure to get this before doing any new schem work!
